1a. Describe your outfit.
A soft & silky tie dyed (in blues) button-down shirt; black cotton capris & bare feet (of course!)
b. What associations does the main color invoke?
My Mom loved blue. I feel closer to her in blue sometimes.
2a. Are you listening to music? nope
b. Was this intentional? yep
3a. Describe the objects within arm's reach.
1. my youngest son, sitting on my lap (he's not an "object" but he is definitely right here and so darned cute!)
2. my calendar
3. a stack of books I'm reading including: Called to Communion, by Joseph Cardinal Ratzinger (now Our Holy Father) ; Christianity and the Crisis of Cultures, by the same illustrious author (actually just finished this one); Jesus of Nazareth, by Pope Benedict
5. lamp
6. phone
7. Lucky, our Golden
8. computer (duhh!)
b. Choose one object and tell where you acquired it.
The lamp was a great garage sale find. I repainted the bottom and polished the brass, added a new shade and viola! A totally solid & pretty lamp
c. On the whole, are the objects new (memory blank) or old (memory filled)?
Memory filled! The books are new but I plan to re-read them many times.
4a. What room are you in?
The office
b. To what extent is it yours?
It is a shared room! My youngest son has a desk in here because he still likes help with homework. There is a comfortable arm chair & floor space so others can be in here on a laptop or reading quite comfortably.
c. What kind of memories will you have in the future of this room
This room has seen many a metamorphosis. It has been a private "home" for many different families going through hard or transitional times. I think of Michael, Robert, Carissa, John, Nanette, Rich and Clint ....... I miss them all as they have all moved on (to Manhattan, Oregon and Houston). It has also been a guest room.
Currently it is our office :-)
I was visiting with neighbors, gently wrestling my son from his playmates who would play together 24/7 if I let them! I supervised his shower and made homemade pizza for our dinner.
b. What would you like to do next?
Tuck everyone in bed after a book and prayers.
