We tried this in our 3rd grade class and it was a success! I demonstrated as the students read the directions and made their own boxes. Reading the directions together and applying those directions TOGETHER helped them "see" the folds and turns.
We tried this in our 2nd grade boys class and it took a wee bit longer. They were enthusiastic about it though! I believe their teacher will be posting this website so that the boys can continue the project at home. It will be a great PARENT/CHILD activity!
